Departing the Transit Centre, your eco guide and driver follow the Brisbane River, where you will board the licenced luxury sea ferry. Cruise out through the mouth of the river, into Moreton Bay Marine Park, where you may be lucky enough to spot dolphins, dugong and turtles at play.

Arrive at Moreton Island's famous shipwrecks, where the decks of this 3 level ferry allow you great photo opportunities of this artificial reef. Travel by 4WD to the desert, pass beautiful wildflowers and birdlife to the remote sand hills. Try your hand at sand boarding or if you are feeling a little more sedate, this area is also great for walks and hikes. Blue Lagoon is the next stop where you can relax, take photos, swim and snorkel in the sand filtered fresh waters.

After a picnic lunch on the beach, drive to the Cape Moreton Lighthouse and enjoy the breathtaking views to Flinders Reef. Explore Honeymoon Bay Beach and swim in the Champagne Pools. Last stop is the Tangalooma shipwrecks for a beach walk, and watch the afternoon sunset as you wait for the ferry back to the mainland.

This Moreton Island Tour is the perfect addition to your itinerary on your next holiday, or a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, and explore the second largest sand island in the world.
